Having self-confidence means to trust within ourselves and our abilities.  It has great importance it allows us to experience something unique, makes us more willing to take risks, makes us challenge life, makes us extrovert, and helps in stepping out of our comfort zone. Self-confidence is great but overconfidence leads to disaster. For example, I have an exam tomorrow and all my chapters are revised and I’m confident enough that I will do well but if I will not revise and look into my notes and make an assumption about cracking any questions will not help. Believing in ourselves allows us to rise and reach our potential. Lack of confidence can lead to failure; fear of what other people will think, we must stretch our limits and try to explore what we are capable of instead of restricting ourselves. The more we question things the better we will understand and make our path while the others will remain silent this is the point where we must think of ourselves. Believing in our skills and our ability will lead to success. Confidence also leads to attractiveness; people get easily attracted who are confident in talking and especially with their body language. It attracts in such a way that people want to acquire the same abilities and skills like us. To some, it is inspiration while the rest just imitates. Building self-confidence is not easy it is a daily process we go through a lot of things in our life which are sometimes hard, scary, triggering, and happy. Therefore, to maintain that boost in our life requires a lot of support, enthusiasm, energy, and determination. The things which can do to boost up our confidence are as follows:

  • Everyone makes mistakes: Nobody is perfect; we make mistakes so that in future we learn from that to repeat it. Sometimes repeating mistakes helps us to know what we are exactly doing but not in the long run.
  • Focus on what we are doing: The more we will concentrate on a particular work it will help us in solving within the limited time, rather than taking short breaks and making ourselves distracted.
  • Doing what makes us happy: We stay more happy and positive when we do things we enjoy. Therefore, with work, we must add our hobbies to bring variations in our skills.
  • Celebrating small things: Small victories over difficult things make us feel happy and we start feeling better about ourselves, which gradually ends up in exploring new things.
  • Taking one deep breath: The moment we feel low, taking a deep breath and holding it for a second then exhaling it releases all the nerves, insecurities, and negativity.

“Always be yourself and have faith in yourself. Do not go out and look for a successful personality and try to duplicate it.”

-Bruce Lee

“To anyone that ever told you you’re no good…they’re no better.
